Mary Allott

I am an experienced NMC-registered nurse with a career spanning acute, community, paediatric, adult, education and commissioning services. I qualified as an RGN in 1989 and RSCN in 1992, later completing a BSc (Hons) in Child Health and a PGCE, with MSc Healthcare Management studies in progress.

I currently work in Continuing Healthcare in inner London, applying the National Framework across DST eligibility assessments, CHC reviews, joint-funded care, FNC and Fast Track pathways. I bring strong clinical judgement, clear evidence analysis and a practical commissioning focus to complex case management.

My background includes neurosurgery, paediatric oncology, adult and paediatric intensive care, clinical facilitation, pre-registration nurse education, service management, safeguarding leadership and complex care commissioning.

I have led units and teams, managed budgets, strengthened quality assurance, investigated incidents and complaints, delivered audits and supported service improvement. My wider work includes COVID-19 safeguarding protocol development, complex discharge planning, national spinal deformity services guidance, and participation in NHS England Independent Reviews as an independent CHC expert.
