Matthew Connell

Matthew joined North West London Pathology in 2019 and is currently the Director of Digital, Data and IT. He has significant experience in working in Pathology IT across a number of NHS organisations, with various LIMS, EPR and healthcare systems. He registered as a Biomedical Scientist in 2003 specialising in Clinical Biochemistry then moved into Immunology, becoming a Fellow of the IBMS. Matthew’s interests include using IT to support process improvement, developing clinical decision support, AI and unlocking the potential of large data created by laboratory medicine.
