Mike Glanville

Mike was the former Assistant Chief Constable of Dorset Police, responsible for the delivery of operational policing across the county and a senior ranking officer in crime investigation and public protection. As a trained Child Protection Investigation Officer and Heading CID he had overall responsibility for all child protection and adult safeguarding.

Mike has represented the police at Dorset’s Local Children’s Safeguarding Board. He’s also an experienced school governor, having been the chair of 2 schools in Dorset since 2008. He has also been called upon by the Salisbury Diocese Board of Education to provide ongoing support and advice to school governing bodies as part of a self-improving governance group.

As Director of Safeguarding Services, Mike has responsibility for ensuring that safeguarding remains central to everything that we do at The Safeguarding Company. He understands the challenges presented by pupil wellbeing issues such as mental health, bullying and online safety.
