John Snowden is an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with over 25 years of service in both the UK and Australia. Since qualifying in 1998, I have worked across a range of acute and community mental health settings, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to high-quality mental health care and leadership.
Beginning my career in acute mental health services in London, I moved to Perth, Western Australia in 2001, where I spent three years working in inpatient services. Upon returning to the UK, I took on several leadership roles within NHS community crisis teams across inner London, where I worked for over a decade.
In the years that followed, I contributed to the development of future mental health professionals as a university lecturer in mental health nursing. In 2020, I joined Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust as Deputy Lead Mental Health Nurse, where I continue to play a key role in shaping and supporting mental health services across the Trust.
