Dr Naomi Elkin is a Principal Clinical Scientist in Clinical Biochemistry at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, and Scheme Organiser for UK NEQAS Cardiac Markers. She has a strong interest in External Quality Assessment and is committed to improving laboratory standards in cardiac biomarker testing to support patient care. Her academic and clinical background includes a PhD in Reproductive Toxicology from the University of Edinburgh, completion of the Scientist Training Programme at Barts Health NHS Trust, and attainment of FRCPath. She is also a member of the Association for Laboratory Medicine PreAnalytical Special Interest Group and the IFCC Natriuretic Peptides Working Group.
