Natalie Hughes

I trained as a children’s nurse and worked for nearly 20 years in a DGH Childrens ward which exposed me to a variety of diverse care including medical, surgical, high dependency & mental health. I then moved into the Operational Delivery Networks in Thames Valley & Wessex, where I managed three networks and set up another three.

Finally, I moved into the NHS England SE regional CYP team, where my role encompasses all things CYP. Whilst I work within specialised commissioning in the SE region (Women’s and Children), my work links closely with and spans across other regional and national directorates through a matrix-working approach, predominantly across the CYP transformation and the Performance and Improvement teams. I also work very closely with the national CYP team and Elective Recovery team to directly support the recovery of CYP services across the SE region.
