Head of Physical Healthcare Services – Rampton High Secure Hospital
Rob leads one of the largest Physical Healthcare Services of its type within the NHS. With a background in Critical Care, Education and Medical Technology, he moved into Mental Health Services at Rampton in 2019, leading on a total restructure of the Service, which has been recognised for areas in ‘Outstanding’ practice by the CQC in 2022.
His main professional passion is the reduction of Health Inequalities faced by patients with Serious Mental Health issues and he has led several innovative service developments, reducing the impact that Secure Care has on the ability to access quality Physical Healthcare.
He is undertaking PhD research in the experience of patients within Forensic settings at the end of life, continuing the drive to close the inequality gap.
