Rob James

Rob is the Digital Architect at the DVLA, where he is responsible for leading the exploration of emerging technologies within the agency. As part of his role, Rob heads up the Emerging Tech Lab at DVLA. The lab prototypes emerging technology solutions to challenges set by the business, alongside driving forward a culture of digital learning within the agency. Among other things, this has led to the rollout of customer-facing chatbots in DVLA’s contact centre and DVLA being the first in government to deliver custom voice skills on Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
