Sally Edgington

Sally Edgington is Chief Executive Officer of AXREM, the leading UK trade association representing suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT, patient monitoring and care technologies. As CEO, Sally provides strategic leadership for the organisation, driving industry engagement, policy influence, member value and the advancement of standards across the healthcare technology sector.

A highly respected association leader, Sally has been recognised in the Women in Trade Associations Powerlist for a fourth consecutive year in 2026, reflecting her significant contribution to the trade association profession and her influence across the healthcare industry. In 2025, she was further honoured with multiple industry accolades, including Most Influential CEO 2025 (Industry Leadership, United Kingdom) in the CEO Monthly Awards and being named among Membership World's Most Influential Professionals of 2025.

With more than 12 years of experience in membership organisations and trade associations, Sally has built a reputation for delivering meaningful member engagement, championing best practice and shaping industry standards. Before joining AXREM, she held senior commercial leadership roles, including National Sales Manager positions and served as Membership Engagement Manager at the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA).

Throughout her career, Sally has been a passionate advocate for the healthcare technology sector, leading the development of guidance and standards, influencing policy and representing member interests at the highest levels of government. She has extensive experience working with parliamentarians, participating in All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs), roundtable discussions and stakeholder forums to address critical industry challenges and opportunities. Sally also serves on the National Association of Medical Device Educators & Trainers (NAMDET) Management Group.

Alongside her professional achievements, Sally is a dedicated voluntary fundraiser. Inspired by her own childhood experience of undergoing 17 maxillofacial surgeries following a serious accident, she began fundraising at the age of 13 and has since raised thousands of pounds for numerous charities. Her charitable work includes long-term support for the RNLI, for which she has raised more than £16,000, including completing the London Marathon in support of the charity.

Recognised for her energy, authenticity and collaborative leadership style, Sally combines deep sector knowledge with a passion for communications, inclusion and raising standards across healthcare. She has successfully led numerous high-profile industry events, conferences, exhibitions, awards programmes and stakeholder engagements, helping to strengthen collaboration and drive positive change throughout the medical technology community.
