Sandra Cooper

On qualifying as a nurse in the mid 1980’s one of my responsibilities working on A&E was in managing patient discharges with social care from A&E. Subsequently I continued to be involved in supporting patient discharges into the community as a Community Nurse Specialist Practitioner (District Nursing). I then moved into commissioning for NHS North Lancs PCT with responsibility for commissioning care packages for CHC funded patients. Latterly prior to my retirement in 2022 I was Head of Service for AACC in NHS MLCSU in Lancashire & South Cumbria.

I have worked throughout my career with acute discharges and patient flow and ensuring compliance with the CHC Framework as part of this process.
