It was great to join the Convenzis team again for the patient flow event. As always, the team were incredibly accommodating and happy to help. The quality of attendees is always of a high standard and relevant to the patient flow and to us also. We continue to have great discussions and footfall around our stand with no need to try and encourage people to come and see us. Equans UK & Ireland
Simon is the Regional Director (Healthcare) for Equans UK & Ireland’ with a remit that covers Barnet General Hospital, North Middlesex Hospital, Whittington Health, Southmead Hospital, Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital, and University Hospital Lewisham. Having previously mobilised and managed the Royal Surrey County Hospital and the Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust, he has extensive operational experience and knowledge of NHS estates, specifically in respect to the critical nature of these environments.
He has also managed a diverse client base including the World Wildlife Fund’s relocated HQ in Woking, which is one of the greenest buildings in the UK, the European Space Agency in Harwell, an important establishment that supports teams focused on climate change, technology and science, and the National Archives at Kew, a source of historical information for the last 1,000 years.
As the Chair of Bouygues Group’s Apprentice Committee, Simon plays an instrumental role in setting the strategy to achieve the company’s target of 5% of the workforce being in a recognised apprenticeship scheme and 10% of all staff in formal training plans.
During his 20+ years with Bouygues, Simon has also increased the company’s core competencies in the maintenance and servicing of Low and Medium risk Electro-Medical Equipment (EBME); the digitalisation of the tools available to frontline staff (Smart Hospitals); and the decarbonisation of the company’s fleet of vehicles.
