Steven Mitchell

Steven has led Skills Training UK towards a number of quality milestones, including; becoming the first organisation to achieve Excellent for the Merlin Standard twice; an overall grade of Good from OFSTED; and full assurance from the DWP Provider Assurance Team. Steven started his career after university at ABN AMRO before joining Reed In Partnership, leading the quality team there nationally before joining Skills Training UK in 2009, joining the Board in 2014.

Steven currently attends as a member of the AELP Quality Forum which supports OFSTED and the inspection of Further Education and Skills and a member of the AELP London advisory board which is helping to shape the Mayor of London’s Skills and Adult Education Strategy.
