Venera Genco

Venera Genco is the Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator for Community Services at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. She leads the governance, implementation, and evaluation of POCT diagnostic testing across community care settings, supporting clinical teams to deliver safe, reliable, and timely diagnostics outside the traditional laboratory environment.

With a background as a Biomedical Scientist specialising in Biochemistry, Venera brings analytical expertise and an understanding of assay performance, clinical interpretation, and quality management through a collaborative approach with clinical scientists. Her role is operational, ensuring the smooth running, governance, and quality of POCT services across Community care.

By integrating community POCT pathways with Frimley Health's wider diagnostic network, Venera plays a key role in bringing rapid diagnostics closer to patients, improving care responsiveness, and strengthening clinical governance across community services.
