Since the introduction of Learning Progressions almost a decade ago, there are more tools than ever to support with mapping the curriculum. However, pandemic disruption to teaching and learning means that many pupils have missed key skills – what are these and how can they be addressed efficiently?

This session introduces Focus Skills, the fundamental ‘building blocks’ to student understanding and pre-requisites to future learning, and Trip Steps, those which are disproportionately difficult for students to learn at the year level expected.
